Help a Nurse in Training :)

I am raising money to pay for the first year of tuition fees so I can study to become a registered nurse. I am from the UK and not an Australian citizen (I hold a permenant resident visa) and therefore do not get any funding from the government making studying impossible! I moved to Australia with my husband and I have two beautiful young boys. My husband came over and joined the Police Service which is another rewarding career, caring for the comunity but doesn't pay well enough for him to support our children and to pay for me to attend university. For as long as I can remeber I have always wanted to be a nurse but the financial aspect of studying has made it impossible for me to get started. I have applied for every scholarship that I am eligible for but have not been successful. If you have ever needed care from a nurse you will understand what a fantastic job they do and the positive impact they have when caring for others. I have been offered a place at James Cook University and would hate to turn it down when I know I would be a great nurse and have a positive impact on peoples health and wellbeing. Australia needs more nurses and I am willing to do the job, please help if you can! Thank you for taking the time to read this, any small contribution will be greatly appreciated. Billie xx
