The most unlikely love story comes true.   Hello, I'm Danilo Abel de Macedo, my girlfriend's name is Leticia and I'm here to tell you our story. We are together since October 20th, 2013. At the beginning we didn't think we would be like this, but now we are really in love. We have plans to marry, immigrate to Canada and have our own family, kids and dogs [she's addicted to dogs, mainly Pugs - Her face when she's playing with a dog is the happiest face in the world. ] First of all, she doesn't know I'm here. And the most difficult part of it is because I'm trying to make her a surprise to propose her. I know it's difficult to post something online and keep it in secret. So, if you see it and you know her, please, don't let her know.   We are both 26 years old.   I'm from São Paulo and she's from São Luis (2.350,44 km away) and the distance is completely tough. We are barely getting together once or twice each 2 months using air miles when we find offers. Unfortunately our air miles are almost over.. :(     There is only one reason we are not living together yet. We are both Mechanical Engineering students going to undergraduate next July. And, if we change universities now, it's going to take longer getting our diploma.   Then, you might be wondering, how did this couple got together if they live so far? Well, against all the probabilities, we were still further when we met.     Due our courses, we both got a scholarship from Brazilian Government. We had this amazing opportunity to live and study 16 months at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, ON. And yes, Its was in Canada (9.304,08 km away) where we met each other. As I said, in the beggining we didn't think we would continue together after this scholarship. But by the end (April), we just realized we wanted to continue together.   We would return to Brazil in April 29, arriving here on the 30th. I would stay in São Paulo and she had a scheduled flight to São Luis. And you can call as you want, But we call it divine providence. We were literally crying in Thunder Bay airport when our flight to Toronto delayed. We had our flight to São Paulo rescheduled which made her miss her flight to São Luis. It gave us the opportunity to change her flight and allow us to live most amazing 15 days of being together and introduce her to my family. By the end of these days, we had only a sure thing. We would be together forever and the destiny was showing us it.   During May 2014, We found a ticket on sale online. We bought it and I went to Sao Luis to stay one week with her. I've met her family, and again, after this week we didn't want to separate again. And again, God gave us a gift. My flight was delayed and allowed me reschedule it (without costs) and stay with her for one more week. That was destiny reafirming: You two were made to be together.   Only someone who lived a distance relationship knows what it means. It has being a hard time. Each time we see each other is like the time stopped for us. Each farewell is a heart broken. We are definitely soul mates blessed for being together.   Since then, she came to my place two more times and I'm going to her place in two days to stay the weekend. I’m so excited!!! :)   We both have this dream of living in Canada. And we both together make each other's dream bigger. We are going to do it together, sooner or later.   We are going to marry, but we have decided we are not going to have a celebration party. We want to save this money and immigrate to Canada. Each penny counts.   That's why, the first $800 I want to use for our wedding rings. As we are not having a celebration, I want her to have at least a memorable ring.     About Immigration:   After our researches, we realized I'll have the profile to immigrate through the Federal Skilled workers programm for having two Technology Diplomas, and undergraduate in Mechanical Engineering, plus my job experience and English.   I've already sent my two diplomas to WES World Education Services) in Toronto for validation, I'll take the IELTS test up to January and apply for the immigration program.   But we still don't have the money that Canadian Government requires for the process and as proof of funds (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp).     Here in Brazil, I'm looking for a job since May but the Mechanical Engineering area is in crisis. So, in order to raising some money while I'm looking for a job, I'm selling Brigadeiro and Pão de Queijo (Brazilian Truffle and Cheese bread).     Another possibility to immigrate is if I find a sponsor who is willing to offer me a job to start after july. Then we wouldn't need to have that much proof funds. So, if you can't help us with money but you have a job opportunity, that would be awesome! I just need this opportunity.   This is my LinkedIn profile: http://br.linkedin.com/pub/danilo-abel-de-macedo/33/651/507/    As it’s an expressive amount (about $17000) I’m posting this same request in 4 different websites (FundRazr, FundAnything, GoGetFunding, and YouCaring) with $4000 of goal in each one.     I really hope you can help us with our dream and it’s my compromise, after we start living in Canada, to return each penny raised here for other's dreams using these same websites.       I really appreciate you time reading this and your belief that you can change our lives. You really are, donating or sharing our cause. :)
