Help a Military Member

My name is Rob Dietrich and I am preparing to begin my career in the U.S. Coast Guard. I am so excited and honored to have the chance to serve my country and help those in need. I am going to serve on missions to provide emergency medical and life-saving support. The Coast Guard will also give me the opportunity to live my dream of being a pilot

In 2008 I was enrolled in a Part 141 flight school which is the highest accreditation granted by the FAA. I was able to complete only a portion of my training due to a devastating turn of events when the school went bankrupt from the recession and my substantial tuition fees were lost. The following class action lawsuit did not return any of my money and my student loan lenders were not willing to work with me in the matter so I am left with a large amount of debt and no high-paying job to pay it off. That has also meant I haven't been able to afford to go back to school. It's been an incredible burden dealing with this but I know that I can slowly get it paid off once I deploy but until then I am in some trouble.

I ship out in just two months and unfortunately I was laid off from my most recent job and am having difficulties finding employers that will hire me for such a short time and I could really use the love and support of this community. It would be such a blessing to not only be able to take care of my family but also have the freedom to prepare mentally and physically before I deploy.
