When I'm going to the Metro, every day there is sitting a woman, probably 50 years old, from Romania. I saw a documentary about the Roma and the romanians said that they are considered as scum by many people, that's why they burn their homes and that also it is hard for them to find work or a place to live, just because of racism. Historically, they came a few hundreds of years ago from india(you can see it in the news - like the story of the Rohingya - a endangered minority), and because of racism they are not tolerated.

It broke my heart when she told me her story, after I finally had the courage to talk to her. She has that friendly, hopeful, trustworthy smile that you almost never expect to find just for nothing.

She said to me she - in broken German - that she hopes to gather money for her son that needs a prosthesis because he lost his foot. He is currently in a hospital in Romania. She has 5 other children, and can't do anything else than sitting there, because she herself has a leg disease (that's what she said), she proved me with a very authentic looking paper. She will have an appointment with a doctor tomorrow, and it will be always hard for her to pay anything.
