I am an olah hadashah, just moved to Israel from Indonesia in March 2020 before the country went into the first lockdown. In the midst of the lockdown, my father passed away 10 days after a stroke, in Indonesia in June 2020. I could not return before he died to say goodbye or to bury him.

My father's father was Dutch Jewish by birth. My sister and I returned to our grandfather's faith and converted in Syney, Australia in 2016. After my father passed away, my mother and my sister (who is still single) are the only family that I have left now, neither of them living in Israel.

Three months after I landed in Israel, I was blessed with meeting my beshert to be married in October. As I have been in Israel for not so long, I do not know that many people here just yet. I also do not have family in Israel or in Indonesia that could support me with my wedding.

I have a job for now but because of COVID-19, funds have dried up and September will be the last month that I will be working. It is the new Jewish year and I am hopeful to start a great new life with the wedding in sight. However, I'm having difficulties paying part of it (the other part is paid by my fiance).

If you are looking for a place to give charity in the month of Tishrei, please, consider donating towards or sponsoring any of the following items below. Any amount that you can help me with will be a great help.

1. Bridal chair, chuppah, bridal bouquette
2. Gemach wedding dress, alteration, dry cleaning
3. Makeup and hair stylist
4. Hadrakhat kallah
5. Tables & chairs rental
6. Wedding benchers
7. Video LIVE streaming of the wedding for my mother and sister
8. Photography
10. Tip for waiters
11. Music band

Thank you.

Elisheva.
