Hi! I’m Marielle, a young adult member of the Negros Oriental-Siquijor Girl Scout Council. I have been a scout since my elementary days. During those times, I always looked up to my adult leaders; hoping one day, I’ll be like them and travel the world. A few months ago, an opportunity knocked at me as I got to be chosen as one of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines delegates to the Juliette Low Seminar in United Kingdom this November 2019. It was hard to believe until the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts confirmed my attendance and granted me a programme scholarship.
I waited long for this and finally my dream of representing the country to the international stage is now at my fingertips. What’s even exciting is doing it in my dream destination, Europe. I feel incredibly blessed to be given this chance and I really want to make the most of it. Aside from the international leadership development experience I can gain, I really want to immerse myself in their culture, tradition, and history. I’ve been trying to save up for this however, I may not have enough financial resources in time for my travel and I only got over a month left to secure my allowances which brings me here, humbly asking for your support. Anything would be greatly appreciated even sharing this campaign will do.
Thank you so much in advance for your kindness and generosity. I would be ever so grateful to you in helping make a small town girl’s dream come true and I can’t wait to share my story if ever that happens.
