Our story began in summer 2013. When we first meet a little FMayro, he was 2 months old. Lovely little fury puppy with big brown eyes. With no hesitation we took him home the day we saw him in the street. After 2 weeks in the middle of the night we woke up with his crying sound. Mayro was on the ground his hands and feet were hardened and his muscles was stiffed. He was involuntary peeing and crying, it lasts for 2 minutes. The next day his vet diagnosed him with idiopathic epilepsy. It was unbelievable for us. From that day he has attacks every one or two weeks, we tried many different treatment strategies, different medications like phenobarbital, potassium bromide, sodium valproate. Even we tried different diets for him, but non of them till now reduced the number of his attacks or the intensity of his illness. We try not to leave him alone for long hours, as loneliness and stress make his attacks worse and worse. Even during night with any sound we rush to him to see if he is experiencing any attacks or not. We lack of animal hospital in the country we are living and the only hospital is 4 hours away, which dose not have proper diagnostic equipment. His monthly visit to the hospital almost cost us 100$ each time and also we had to put camera system all over the house to monitor him will we go to work. This is terrifying situation each time when he experience attacks and his body temperature raises so high that we have to pour cold water on him and sometimes we have to make Valium shots for him at home. We really want him to have happy and long life. We started this campaign to gather money for his medications and if it we gather enough money we plan to take him to another country which has better diagnostic and treatment options for a dog with epilepsy.
