HELP A FILIPINO SOUND HEALER RAISE FUNDS FOR HER U.S. SCHOLARSHIP

Towards the end of last year, I started this campaign to fund my Voice Movement Therapy training in the U.S. (www.iavmt.org) for 8 months. I was blessed to be granted a full scholarship of $7,000 for the tuition and about 70% for the lodging. I still need to pay $800. I am also grateful to those who have given their support when I started this campaign. I wasn't able to raise the money that I needed but I was able to go here in the US for the training which started in November 2019. I left that time with only $506 in my pocket and a big faith that God will see me through in this journey.

We have finished two modules already in the training and it was truly an experience I can never forget. I have been learning to really go out of my comfort zone and allow myself to flow with whatever is presented to me each day. We are 12 participants in this training - 8 from the United States, one from Austria, one from Columbia, one from Hong Kong, and then me from the Philippines. I have learned to adjust living with them and there has been some bonding that we have already developed among ourselves.

The training has been helping me to stretch more with my creativity and open myself more in discovering my voice... The voice that have kept silent for a long time. It is my joy to bring this in the Philippines and help my fellow Filipinos to also discover their own voices within.

We are now on our second break and I am just grateful to those who have been generously accommodating me and helping me "survive" this past 4 months.

Our third module will be in March and the last module in May. Right now I am preparing to submit my application for extension of stay for me to be able to finish the training which will end in June 6, 2020. I am only given until May 7, 2020 to stay here. I am positive though that I will be given an extension, but right now I am financially challenged to pay the extension fee of $455 which I would be needing on or before February 28, 2020, the date that I will be filing my extension. At the same time, I would still have some expenses for plane fares, food, transportation and acommodations for the 3rd break and my last weeks before going back to the Philippines on June 30, 2020. I am looking at around $3,000 for this.

But what is urgent now is the $455 that is needed for my extension of stay. Though I have until March 23 to make my application, I rather do it as early as Feb. 28, 2020, and if I already have funds I can actually do it now. If I won't be able to apply, then I have to go back to the Philippines and lose my opportunity to finish the training.

If you feel in your heart to extend some help to me and to the bigger goal of helping people discover their own voices within, I would truly appreciate it. No amount is too small to those who who give from the heart.
