Hello! I am Aimee Ragsac, a graduate student from the University of the Philippines and one of the accepted participants in the upcoming BTS: A Global Interdisciplinary Conference that will be held at Kingston University, Penrhyn Road Campus, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom on 4th-5th of January 2020.

I will be presenting my paper titled “Stanning 방탄소년단: A Study on the Role of Social Media in the Success of BTS’ ‘Love Myself’ Campaign and Its Impact to the Fans in the Philippines” which talks about the impact of BTS' collaboration project with UNICEF, the 'Love Myself' Campaign to the ARMY fans in the Philippines, launched in November 2017. The end product of this conference is a book entitled: BTS: Intersectional Practice, Globalization and Performance Art, edited by Dr. Colette Balmain, Dr. Helen Julia Minors and Dr. Lori Morimoto; and I would really love to be part of that book. With this, we will be able to create and contribute in the growing literature on Media Roles, Communication, BTS and Korean Culture in the Philippines.

I am just a young professional who makes a little above the minimum wage per day but is very into research, BTS and the Korean Culture as a whole. With this, I am humbly requesting anyone who are willing to extend any allowed and available financial assistance that could be extended to me. Any amount would be of great help in achieving this goal.

Thank you in advance! Borahae!
