We are a Greek-Latvian family with 3 children and 2 adopted dogs. We currently live in Latvia and because of COVID I lost my job together with another 12 colleagues. I putted all my savings to buy(without a loan) an affordable property which costed 5.000€ and it's a 127 years old house with land. It has electricity and water(well and pump) but it urgently needs heating, to repair the floor, the chimney, some walls to support, parts of the roof and it doesn't have a kitchen and a bathroom/toilet inside the house. I have made some temporary things to cover the last two needs but winter is coming and here in Latvia it can go as low as -35.
I have learned the language but it's very difficult to find a job, and while I'm trying, I started baking Greek delicacies (which I was doing some for 3 years some time ago) but it gives money only for food and surviving, together with my wife's job (which finishes this December.
So, I'm trying to fundraise money up to 13.600€ in order to make this house warm and livable for my family before Christmas.
All what you read is the truth and the real situation of a proud father who is trying to give the best to his family but you know, some times is difficult, and when time passes and new generations get lost, we have no future, not a good one at least.
I will be grateful for all my life.
