I feel terrible asking for money from strangers but we have gotten to a point where we are left with few options. Three weeks ago I woke up to find four firefighters in my bedroom. They informed me that I had just suffered a seizure, the first in my whole 39 years of living. After a trip to the ER they found a legion in my brain. I was admitted to the hospital and had a biopsy performed three days later. The entire week I was in the hospital my loving soulmate and life partner was by my side instead of at work. She is currently the sole bread winner in our home and while I loved having the support that whole time it has taken a toll on our finances. I am unable to drive because of state law and so getting to follow up appointments means taking more time off of work. The results of the biopsy show it to be a Grade II glioma which makes it benign. However, because of its location in my brain it is inoperable. Which also means lots of follow appointments and monitoring. Being able to catch up on the past due bills that are starting to pile up from missed work and having a little extra leftover to ensure that missing more work won't dig us deeper in a hole is what the purpose of this campaign is all about. I've never had to ask complete strangers for help before but I've never been in such a situation before either. I want to sincerely say Thank You advance and during and after this campaign for the help that can come from people that care!!
