Help a Dreamer Achieve His Dream

Hello! My name is James. I'm a 21 year old male from the Philippines. I graduated elementary and high school with high honors. When I was in college, I took up Mass Communication as my course. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish it due to some personal problems.

I left my hometown in Negros Oriental to find work in Cebu. One of my goals in life is to earn enough money to get a chance to enroll in the prestigious International Academy of Film and Television. I always like to watch movies with a critic's eye and be fascinated with the cinematography and flow of the story. It never bores me, and that is the reason why I want to pursue this dream of mine to be a film maker. Unfortunately, while I was looking for a job, the COVID19 made an outbreak here and that led everyone to undergo the Enhanced Community Quarantine.

I'm ashamed to say this, but ... I'm actually stranded here ever since the outbreak of the virus. I can't go back home, I have no contact to my family and friends in my hometown, and my emergency savings fund has also ran out because I had to use it in sustaining my daily needs. With no job and no money to support myself, there are times when I have sleepless nights, thinking to myself, "What will I do now? When will this end? How am I supposed to find a job?" There are times when I get into my bouts of depression, and I could only cry to myself. I know that there are others out there who are feeling the same way as I am. Dejected, depressed, hopeless, etc. And I won't judge anyone for feeling that way, because as humans, we are emotionally fragile. And it's okay to feel that way, as long as there's tomorrow, we can always hope that it will be better than yesterday.

Right now, I am humbly asking for help from anyone out there who might visit this page and read my story. All the donations and proceeds that are received here will be used to help me buy the necessary equipments such as a Plantronics Noise-cancelling Headset, wi-fi, laptop, etc.

A Plantronics Noise-Cancelling Headset is priced at 1,895 pesos at the Official Plantronics Store in Lazada.

A Globe Unlimited Fiber Internet Plan costs around 1,699 pesos for a speed of 10 mbps, which is the bare minimum for working in a home-based online job. Plus there might be a one time modem fee which is around 2,500 pesos, if I'm not mistaken.

The rest of the money will be used for me to buy a budget-friendly laptop in Lazada or any site that has a genuine seller for good laptops.
