Help a Covid19 Survivor Come Home

On 31 July 2020, my wife, Teresita Peduche (“Mama Ging”), was rushed to the hospital due to heaviness in breathing. She was eventually diagnosed with a high-risk pneumonia, a confirmed fatal case of COVID-19. Due to her serious condition, she was intubated and aided with mechanical ventilation for weeks to help her breathe. After a long battle, efforts from medical frontliners, and prayers, Mama Ging was able to surpass the critical stage and is now on her way to recovery.

While relieved on the improvement of Mama Ging’s health condition, settling her hospital bill is the next challenge we have to face. We were able to receive monetary help from friends and other charitable institutions. However, the funds we received are still not sufficient to fully pay the bill. The financial burden is too much to bear for our daughter and son-in-law who have been providing us with monetary support, and also for me and my wife who only run a small sari-sari store as a source of income.

It is for this reason that we have humbly chosen to step out in faith through this fundraising drive to help ease our financial burden in paying the hospital bill. I understand that most of us, if not all, are experiencing tough times at this season of pandemic. We will be forever grateful for any help you can provide and we stand in faith that God will bless you back for your kindness and generosity.
