We are a couple and want to be together. This has not been possible for quite some time now. We met in 2009. Both of us are in different countries. I am a New Zealand citizen and work full time. My partner is in India. We have made a few applications for my partner to come over and be with me but immigration has declined them even after giving them evidence of time spent together, communication between us, photos, videos. The only thing they have stuck on is you have not lived together long enough.
Since my partner needs a visa to come to New Zealand, he would never be able to come here as we do not meet this criteria. We have lived together when I went back to see him but only for as long as I had annual leave. The only option here for us is that I leave my full time job in NZ and go back to stay with him. This is what we want to do as nothing else is important for us than being together.
We would need some help to be able to do this as we need to book tickets, get accomodation, pay the bills, day to day living expenses etc. Also, when we come back to NZ when his visa gets granted, some support when we are back initially till I get another job.
My partner and I will have some money initially from our last pay but it wouldn't be enough to support us for 5 to 6 months.
We have given this a lot of thought and literally going insane thinking about how to get through this. We will be really grateful for your help. Thanks a lot.
