Two years ago, Lepanto National High School in the northern part of Benguet, asked for help to grow their library, which only had around 2,000 books and mostly old. They could not serve the needs of a growing school population properly, especially with new intake for the K-12 program. Since then, donations poured in and they were able to grow their collection to over 9000 books. However, many of these books cannot be properly enjoyed because the library lacks the shelves (and budget) to house them. We're knocking on your kind hearts once again to help this little school that could build these books a cozy room of their own and give their students their tables and study area back.
Your help goes a long way. With your help, the school will be buying the materials and build the shelves themselves. They will be needing two (2) double-sided bookshelves and 10 smaller shelves for other learning materials.
Should we exceed our goal, the extra funds will be used to improve the library facility, which incidentally, is also used by other members of the community. We hope you could be part of making a difference to this small community up in the mountains of the Cordilleras.
