Help a caretaker/future college student get around LA

I'm trying to raise money ANY way I can to try and get enough to buy a gas scooter/vespa as I live in Los Angeles, CA, and for people who've never been here not having a car or some way to get around on your own means you are SCREWED!!!  Also, it's already getting to 100 degrees here, and walking with my health issues which include lung damage from multiple blood clots, near organ failure several times in 2012, severe IBS which randomly flares up, and then any other problems that constatly arrise, so with all this it's already taking a toll.  I also take care of my aging father who's health is constantly on the decline, now to the point where he can't get around at all, so I have to take care of everything.  I'm also trying to return to college to better my life, so having the scooter would save money on trasport!

To get a used scooter through a Craigslist lister is around $800 for a decent one and around $150 for the registration, and $32 minimum for the motorcycle license to drive it.
