Help a Cancer Survivor Get Back on her Financial Feet

Hello world! Two years ago, I had a morning that I thought would be my last. Unbeknownst to me, I had a tumor the size of a grapefruit in my stomach and that morning, it made itself known in the most violent way imaginable. I almost lost my life on my kitchen floor, but thankfully my youngest, who was just four year old, was home and he knew where my phone was. He saved my life.

My tumor was successfully removed but my body took a real beating and was overwhelmed. At the same time as my cancer, I was diagnosed with Wegener’s disease and I have had to have surgery to reconstruct part of my face that this this disease has damaged.

These last two years have been the most difficult if my life. I am a complicated medical case and my treatment required me to travel to see the right specialists. Plus, I have been on disability since. And while my body is mending, my financial pressures remain. I need to get myself in a better position so that I can close this chapter in my life. And I want to give my boys a more normal life this year. They have have been through so much. I want them to enjoy being kids again.

This is why I’m asking for help from the crowd. My goal is to raise money to cover the costs I incurred travelling back and forth to different out-of-city hospitals to get the treatment I needed.

Getting some financial assistance would mean the world to me. And if there is anything I can do in return, I will happily do so.
