My name is Olga, I am 25, I live and work in UAE and I do sport for charities. My coming charity challenge is called 7/7/7: 7 ultra-marathons (50 km) in 7 emirates in 7 days which will take place in the beginning of May 2016. This solo challenge is dedicated to Syrian kid’s education and I am aiming to raise awareness of this problem and collect donations to support refugee school in Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. I am doing it because I believe every child deserves the right to have a chance.

A year ago I started to organize sport challenges for charities. The reason is very simple: I believe it is right thing to do. There are plenty of ways to help others. I believe sport and healthy way of life can benefit not only on a personal level, but also can contribute to society. If you can do something outstanding that would attract the attention of other people why not to dedicate it to matters that really deserves attention?

1) In October 2015 I have completed 400 km solo cycling across 7 UAE Emirates in 24 hoursto raise funds for kids’ education support in developing countries. Together with Dubai Cares we were able to collect more than 10,000 AED which went to African school.

2) Two months later in December 2015 I have completed my second charity challenge – 200 km solo run in 24 hours across Jumeirah beach which was dedicated to kids from Children Cancer Hospital in Pakistan. Together with Marwa Fayed Toys Run charity organization we were able to collect more than 100 kg of toys which were sent to children for the New Year.

Those 2 campaigns went successfully only thanks to all the people who contributed to my initiative. To see this kindness was the best part of all my challenges.

My next charity challenge is dedicated to Syrian kid’s education and in cooperation with Jusoor. I am aiming to collect donations to support refugee school in Lebanon. Jusoor is NGO organization of Syrian expatriates who help refugee children to get primary education. They are currently running two schools in Bekaa Valley (Lebanon) where 650 kids are receiving primary education. It costs approximately $700 per year to educate one child and both schools are running entirely on donations from people. Some of those kids lost their families, others missed years of school due to the difficult situation in their country. For most of them those refugee school is the only chance to get the education.

In May 2016 I will run 7 ultra-marathons in 7 emirates in 7 days in order to raise awareness of this matter. I am aiming to collect at least AED 25,000 (USD 7,000), which will provide a full year of education for 10 kids. I cannot do this alone, but we can do this together. Every child deserves the right to choose the future. Most of those kids do not believe in this anymore. Together we can help them to believe again!
