How ?

By helping their parents to start a lucrative Health Food Business

in their native place: Kochi, in the State of Kerala in S.W. India.

That business will be run by their respective mothers –

who happen to be 3 sisters!

They are: a confirmed baker, an accountant and a cook.

The Business Model:

is based on a great public demand for responsible, sustainable European culinary health products, prepared with home-grown bio-fruits and –vegetables, and organic farm eggs.

End-products will be offered in their cozy cafeteria and at local outlets, later State-wide and nation-wide.

They will offer:

Fruit- and vegetable juices, home-made Belgian chocolates, pralines and desserts, sandwiches, French fries, salads, drinks, cakes, waffles, pancakes, ice-creams etc. (1st. phase)

Revenue:

will be generated through the start of an organic bio-plantation of fruits & veggies and the creation of a cozy cafeteria, comprizing catering and full delivery services to existing retail shops, local malls, restaurants, supermarkets, schools, and offices.

Financial analysis:

Funds will go to:

In the 1st. year

- The acquisition of a plot of chemical-free agricultural land

- A nursery, a walk-in refrigerated cooler, electrical, plumbing

- A small tractor and some tools for working the land

- Complete the construction of a brick and mortar cafeteria

- Acquisition of equipment for ­­­­­­­cooking, baking, catering

- For delivery of the finished goods by auto-riksha

- To cover advertising, promotional cost and insurance

- For cost of ingredients and any unforeseen glitches in future

In the 2nd. year

- Extend the farm, service the greater Kochi area

- Host numerous catered events (marriages etc.)

- The amount of funding will support our first year as a business and will give us a good base of support

Customer analysis:

Our target group consists of the young middle class, students, employees, sports clubs, schools, hospitals, and all health-aware customers.

Publicity and marketing:

- is done through a successful website

- by regular and automated sending of splash-pages to an existing listing of +30.000 up-dated local e-mail addresses

- by holding regular cooking classes on regional TV-stations

- by placement and distribution of local ads and folders and, of course, by word of mouth etc.

Market analysis

Through preliminary research done in the last 5 years in the State of Kerala, we have observed an ever increasing demand for biologic, organic and sustainably raised products in the local food industry.

This came about after a Ministerial ban on import of lower class and chemically treated food produce from neighboring State Tamil Nadu, a few years ago.

Therefore our project of EUROPEAN HEALTH FOODS is coming at the right time and will open new ways of providing healthy food to the population.

As we offer exclusive European specialties, we have no direct competition.

Overall business goals

The State of Kerala has NO outlets or catering services with a typical European offer (like Belgian and French cuisine).

That means: no competition.

Our team has the vision to analyze and plan the development of this business effectively and our hard work will bring the success it deserves.

Our method of organic farming brings an awareness of chemical-free, sustainable farming to the community and beyond.

We plan to provide tours of the farm for the local schools and colleges to spread the good word.

We will do our part in progressive farming practices, as we understand it to be the best way we can all live with nature on our beautiful planet.

Goals of the 4 “beneficiaries” of this campaign:

"I wish to select a scientific discipline and prepare my medical entrance examination for the “All India Institute of Medical Science”.

Problems and hurdles come with the territory when it comes to running a farming operation and a subsequent catering service.

We have gardened for many years, growing, canning, and freezing some of the highest quality vegetables and fruits.

Issues will be overcome.

We are ready to take on the challenges that await us!

What happens if we don’t raise all the funds?

We will 100% continue with the project!

It will just take a little longer and our momentum will slow significantly.
