Helena, 25 weeker Premature Fighter

Hi everyone! I would like you to meet our daughter Helena Drae Alejandro. She is micropreemie at 25 weeks 680 grams.

This is our story:

April 22, 2019 - We are scheduled for congenital anomaly scan and we discovered that we are having a baby girl and that she is healthy however my wife's cervix has functional length of 0.39 cm; internal os is dilated to 1.61 cm (u-shaped cervix) so we rushed her to the nearest hospital and have her admitted as advised by the OB. They monitered her and inserted a pessary to close her cervix and block our baby girl from coming out. We got discharge a week after but she is in a complete bed rest without bathroom privileges.

May 18, 2019 - While we are having our lunch my wife felt that something came out of her which she was sure that it was not urine. This happened 3 times within 30 minutes so we asked her OB and was advised to go to the ER immediately since it is the bag of water. She stayed at the delivery room so that she can be monitored.

May 19, 2019 - My wife started going into labor and after 4 hours, our baby girl was born. The OB and nurses expected a low survivability however when the baby came out she started crying immediately so they rushed her to NICU.

May 21, 2019 - My wife was discharged from the hospital but our baby Helena stayed in the NICU of Las Pinas Doctors Hospital and expecting that she will be there for more than 3 months.

I opened this account to humbly asked for your help for any financial assistance that you can extend. Our baby Helena is fighting for her life so we wanted to do the same thing for her by providing all that she will be needing to survive. The Neonat advised us that we will be needing atleast 1,500,000 pesos for 3 months stay in NICU. Any amount of donation will be a big help for us and especially baby Helena. Thank you very much!
