The Irwin’s are drowning! Help!

Introduction

First off, thank you for visiting our page. We have struggled and prayed for weeks about beginning a crowdfunding campaign and at this point we see no other choice. Neither of us like asking for help, but we’ve put our egos aside in order to get back on our feet.

Background

I’m Tricia, 29, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and zero luck finding a job (of any kind) in our area because we do not have transportation. New Year’s Day of 2015, I broke my tibia and fibia in my leg, along with my ankle. Eight surgeries on my leg, one surgery on my foot, and one on my knee has allowed me to function mostly normally. Because of all this, I lost my minimum wage job at the gas station I was employed at (I was off for just over a year)

My husband, Heath, is 39. In 2013, we found out that he has 4 compressed discs in his back all in a row, so no surgeon will touch him. He became depressed because he’s provided for us so well for so many years. I worked overtime, 70+ hours some weeks in order to keep us afloat until my injury. In February of 2016, he was granted disability; $965 a month. We were happy, but obviously this wasn’t enough to live on.

Reason for Campaign

I started this campaign in hopes of raising enough money to pay off my medical bills, which are currently $4,600, catch up on our monthly bills (we are currently a month behind on electric and house payment, totaling $782), and hopefully be able to buy some groceries. We’ve been living on leftovers from the neighbors and his mother for over a year. If there are none, we don’t eat. I’ve lost 60 pounds within the last 8 months, which I know isn’t healthy.

We would also feel so blessed to be able to purchase a good running vehicle. With transportation, I can get a job and keep us on our feet and stable.
