Heart transplant/bi-ventricular pacemaker for Alladin – Help us save a beautiful soul!

Our father, on 9 December 2015 became very ill with Pulmonary Edema and had found him waking up in ICU at Victoria Hospital after 6 hours, connected to the life support system. This was all very scary to both my dad and my family.

Afterwards we were informed that he has Congenital Heart Failure and would need a heart transplant. After that incident he has been admitted several times with Pulmonary Edema and was also admitted to the Groote Schuur Hospital’s Cardiac Unit, where we thought he would be assisted with his condition. To our surprise he was transferred back to Victoria Hospital, as nothing could be done for him.

As a freelance Tourist Guide for the past few years he was unable to join a medical aid or health insurance as he has always been a patient of the Groote Schuur Hospital’s Cardiac Unit, since his 4-way bypass 17 years ago. Unfortunately with our Government’s system, the waiting time can often be very long or never as is now the case.

As my father has been seriously ill for the past two weeks. We have reached the stage where today his team of Doctors at Victoria Hospital informed him that he is terminally ill and he is in urgent need heart transplant or a bi-ventricular pacemaker / ICD.

My family and i need assistance in raising funds for the amount of USD 20 000 / ZAR 280 000, to have the operation done in Cape Town.

As a Tourist Guide & ex animal welfare inspector of 12 years at cape Town SPCA who has protected domestic, farm and wild animals from abuse, who is passionate about showing Cape Town and South Africa to the world, the operation will allow him to continue with what he enjoys the most, being a South African Tourist Guide, showing our City and country to thousands of tourists.
