A Better Heart for David Lawrence Lopez

To our dearest family and friends here and abroad,

We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for being alongside us, as our nephew (Lawrence) battles for his health.

In May 2019, he was diagnosed with rheumatic heart disease, which left his heart valves permanently damaged.

He is 14 years old. He and his brother (Daniel) live with their Lolo and Lola. He is very smart (he knows all of his medications, even their mechanisms of action!) and wants to become a doctor someday. Lately, however, his heart failure symptoms have slowly progressed, and he feels tired on light exertion.

We decided to keep it private at first because we knew everyone was having a hard time during this global emergency. However, we were advised that corrective surgery is the definitive solution, and it is best that Lawrence undergo Mechanical Valve Replacement while he is still young, with a greater chance for success.

This is a light at the end of the tunnel, knowing that Lawrence has a good chance in this battle. We need to raise funds so that Lawrence can have a permanent mechanical valve prosthetic device to replace his damaged valves. The basic cost of this procedure is PhP 650k.

We would like to ask for your help in raising this amount so that Lawrence can receive his operation ASAP. We will send deposit details for donations soon. Of course, prayers go a long way, and we would appreciate that everyone lift up Lawrence in prayer.
