Heart Surgery

The love of my life requires non intrusive heart valve surgery to improve her quality of life. This specific operation is not available to her where she lives. Therefore she needs to travel to a country that excells in this medical procedure, with a high success rate. I know that I ask a lot, but she means everything to me and to see her live a healthy life, would mean the world to me.

I first met Svetlana 18 years ago, in Khazhstan where I was working as a Transport Consultant. Since then, we have remained in touch, by letter, telephone and now Skype. I had the opportunity to visit her in Berlin last year where she was having tests following open heart surgery to replace two valves and repair to third. This was not 100% successful, hence the need for another operation. She is constantly in and out of hospital where she lives as her condition deteriorates, she often has to call out the Emergency Ambulance when she feels very unwell. She financed the first operation by borrowing from family and friends. She also had to take out a loan which she is still paying back and the banks will not re-finance that loan. Svetlana is a teacher of English and Russian. A very intellegent lady who deserves more out of life than she is getting at the moment.
