My brother Moises is currently at the Philippine Heart Center. He first had a heart attack at age 35 a few years ago, and has been on medication ever since. He's always been the quiet type, so he endured life's challenges as best he can to support his 2 kids.
Lately, he's been having a hard time breathing and finally lost all feeling on both his legs. He was rushed to the hospital, and they had to operate on his legs. He's been in and out of the hospital for a few weeks before that, and it has really drained our family financially.
Knowing that we do not have enough money to aid him, my brother insisted to leave the hospital after the leg operation but the doctor would not allow it. He said that my brother needs a heart operation ASAP due to his critical condition of Rheumatic Heart Disease. It would be an open heart surgery, and they need to replace 3 valves of his heart.
He does not have health insurance at work yet. We filed a loan at his job, but that was only enough for his medicines. We also went to social services and government agencies to ask for financial support, but they can only shoulder 3/4 of the medical bill which is already 200,000 at present. At this point, we don't know how to raise the money for him to have the operation, which is on top of his current bill.
He may be silently fighting on right now, but I know that he needs all the help he can get.

They will replace 2 valves in his hearts and repair 1 valve.We dont know what time it would be yet. It could be early morning, noon, or in the afternoon. I'll keep you. . . . .

Schedule of Operation Delayed

They need to have him take antibiotics and pain reliever for 2 weeks before checking if he would be well enough to have the heart surgery.Times are a. . . . .

So many amazing artists were kind enough to perform for our cause.With over 140 people, we were able to raise enough money from door charge and donations. My brother needs 50,000 by June 15, 2016 as down payment for his operation.It's gonna be an open heart surgery where they need to replace 3 valves in his heart. I was surprised to know that the valve was 350,000 EACH! Shucks. Thank God for government agencies. Also,. . . . .
