Aubree was born 5 1/2 years ago with HLHS-hypo plastic left heart syndrome. She lived the first three and half months of her life in the hospital. Since then Aubree has thrived as a bubbly, outgoing, Chick Fila loving little girl! She goes to the hospital regularly for test, and scans. Almost three years ago, after some of her tests, the doctors decided she needed to be put on to the heart transplant list. Cameron & Kristin knew that one day she would need a new heart. They were just hoping a heart would be available before her heart starting having issues. Monday Feb. 10th, they took Aubree to the hospital, because she had become puffy and wasn’t acting normal. Her BNP levels were much higher than where they should be. The doctors changed her diet to a low sodium diet, and put her on Milirone, a medication to give her heart a rest. They were hoping by doing this, her levels would come down, and she could go home. After two weeks of letting the heart rest, the doctors made the decision that she needed to be moved up on the transplant list, and transport her directly to Shands Hospital to wait for a much needed heart. Cameron & Kristin’s worst nightmare was coming true. Kristin is staying with Aubree full time at Shands, while Cameron is going to continue to work, and make sure their 3 yr old daughter Savannah, is thriving at school. During this challenging time, they pretty much will have two households with one less income, and way more expenses. We want to try to help this special family focus on Aubree, and not worry about finances. Thank you for giving, and continuing to pray for this sweet child & her family.
