I had bypass surgery in 2002. since then I've been back to the hospital about 5 times, now the doctors are recommending another angioplasty to help feed the heart a little more blood since the heart muscle is damaged and there are blocked arteries on the heart. I've been permanently disabled since 2012 and now the expense for quality of life is overwhelming, my medicare doesn't cover total expenses and there are no more personal monthly expenses I can cut. It comes down to the medical costs being overwhelming so I started this page in hopes of finding some assistance...

I'm seeing my cardiologist every 3 to 6 weeks. readjusting my medications and running tests. I've had 2 nuclear echo cardiograms and a cardiovascular stress test with a Cardiac nuclear proficiency evaluation, labs and followups. I was born with a gene defect and now it is taking it's toll. My doctors say I need the operation...

Doctor has finally convinced me that I needed surgery so we set a date and the operation got done... now it's just a readjustment of blood pressure meds and a couple more blood tests and then we'll see... I'm sure there will be more echos and stress tests since they

I postponed it and I put it off but now I really feel I need to go into the hospital and let the doctors do what they can for me no matter if I can afford it or not... I've got a date set for the consult and consent on

Medicaid assistance

My doctor suggested I file for assistance through medicaid, so I did and the good news is my medicare part D premiums will be payed and I also get a break on the cost of my meds... the down side is I still have no way of covering the 20%. . . . .
