Healthy Home For The Hughes Family

Hello to all my FAMILY and FRIENDS! I am asking for help to get my family into a new SAFE and HEALTHY HOME. We moved into our current home in November 2016 and have had unresolved maintenance issues from DAY ONE. In the past 8 months the health of everyone in the home, including my sweet puppies, has been on a steady decline due to unresolved EXTREME MOLD. Unfortunately my health decline has been the worst. I have accrued over $13,000 in medical bills and even lost my job due to not being able to get out of bed a lot of days. As a single mother and sole provider for my family I have been struggling to keep the roof over our heads much less try to find a new safe and healthy home to move in. On January 21, 2016 I discovered a water leak in my daughters bathroom that was so bad it caused the floors in hall outside of her bathroom to have water squishing up if walked on. This was a after hours emergency and per my lease I contacted property maintenance and they did come shut off the water in the bathroom and said they would return to repair. Needless to say after numerous reminders to my property manager no repair was made. Now lets jump to May 2017 when I received a notice about paying my deposit(which I paid at move in). This prompted an immediate visit to office where I was greeted by a new property manager and the owner so I assumed business would be handled. I notified them water leak never fixed and loss of bathroom for the past 4 MONTHS and was assured it would be taken care of immediately. Also this is when my monies paid discrepancies came to light as I saw an entire page of my receipt book was missing out of their records! This is another issue pending and ignored by my property management but not my top priority since the old property manager was recently arrested in Floyd County Georgia for theft of monies from RHM. The maintenance man did show up the next day, turned a wrench and said the leak was fix and turned the water in the bathroom back on. Clearly the leak was not repaired because less than a week later I came home to water coming out of the bathroom light switch and outlet, in addition to the wall fallen and crumbling away due to it being soaked. Of course I followed protocol and immediately notified property management to no avail. Common sense told me that it was also a fire hazard with water and electric together so I took it upon myself to find breaker and turn it off. Now it is July 2017 and I am in a HURRY to get OUT. I have followed all protocol and have been current on all rent to be treated like this. I did contact Rome Building Inspection and a building inspector came out and he notified property of multiple violations. Still I am here with NOTHING being done. I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I am sick, my daughter has had allergy issues which she never had, my puppies have both had issues with throwing up repeatedly. I was blessed with a new job but do not receive my first full check until second week of July. It would not be anywhere what I will need to cover moving. I will have moving expenses, deposit, pet deposit, and first months rent. So if you can help my family get into a SAFE AND HEALTHY home please do. Blessings and Love to everyone who reads this.
