I have been offered the opportunity to travel to San Jose, Costa Rica to volunteer as a healthcare assistant with local hospitals. In doing so, I would be participating in a variety of engagement opportunities, from working alongside medics and first responders in emergency situations to working with rehabilitation patients in therapy. This is an amazing opportunity to help reform the current healthcare systems in Costa Rica.

Following my surgical fellowship in Italy, I have discovered a passion for not only travel, but more importantly, for doing my part in helping others. I am very excited for this opportunity, but am struggling to raise the funds necessary for travel and meals for the duration of the mission trip. From both the residents of San Jose and I, we would sincerely thank you for any contribution, regardless of size. Anything helps!
