Health for India, Helena’s Medical Volunteering

I am a medical student eager to keep learning both academically as well as personally, and spiritually. Last year I volunteered in a hospital Sri Lanka, and taught english in a boy's orphanage. This adventure gave my priceless experience and knowledge.

This year I would love to travel to India, where help is very much required given the huge population. Doctors need help every day in order to provide health care to as many people as possible. My aim is to provide this extra help while I learn and improve my skills. I know how much medical experience I can get from this trip, and I also know the impact my help can have since I experienced it in the neighbouring country a few months back.

WHERE WOULD YOUR MONEY GO AND WHAT WOULD IT BE USED FOR?: Project Fees back in Sri Lanka were used to build new wards in the hospital and to pay for the orphan's school material, toys, clothes and food. This also applies to the project I'm aiming to do in India. This is where the money would go!
