Homes of Safety, Care, Love and Support.
Homes of Safety, Care, Love and Support for abused mothers and their children.
Domestic violence in South Africa has been an ongoing problem for many years. Although as a country we are putting stronger and more law enforcement into place, it still takes time.
I live in a big family owned home (too big for my daughter and I only) and will be converting the bottom of my house into a
Project 1, BIG FAMILY UNIT – HOME UKUTHULA £15,000 for those in need of emergency safety, care, and love.
Project 2, HOME UBUNTU £10,000 a smaller 1 bedroom for a mother and 1 young child. Comfortable room with a smaller living area, kitchen, and bathroom.
Project 3, HOME DUDU £ 15,000 another bigger unit for a mother and max 4 children similar to Home UKUTHULA
Child safe play area.
We aim at providing safe, care and loving homes for Woman, especially those with children who are in danger of physical abuse of a violent nature.
This will be a Safe, Secure, and loving environment for them all as a family to heal and get back on their feet, receive healthy meals and medical or emotional support if needed and a safe play area for the children outdoors as well.
I will also assist the ladies with additional training, computer literacy or whatever their talents are and once they are ready to find work, I and others will assist them to find work so that they can take care of themselves and their children and will assist them to find sustainable jobs and safety.
Physical abuse; sexual abuse; emotional, verbal and psychological abuse; economic abuse; intimidation; harassment and more are the very dangerous problems theses woman and their children face often every day and without help they cannot escape.
I and others will assist them where needed and help them all the way.
The BIG Family - unit is 1st project and most needed at this moment.
HOME UKUTHULA - £15,000
2 Bedrooms, it will be able to host a mother and up to 4 children, its own living area, little kitchen, and bathroom area so they feel at home and together as a family. – Hopefully all these units will only be used by a family for a max period of 4 months so the next family in need can be helped.
We need your help, please. I work for an NGO and my funds have run dry just with the initial work done thus far and we still have 85% or more to do.
