It's started with on and off fever, red spots in her palm and sole, bleeding lips. we thought its just a hand foot and mouth disease. On her 3rd day we noticed her tummy is getting big, so we rush her in the other Pediatrician. She advise us to have CBC and we found out her platelet count was too low.
Doctor immediately ask my wife to bring Elise Tamara to the nearest hospital with capability of hematology oncology ,as she needs medical attention.
As a parent there is no painful feeling other than seeing your child suffering. It crashes our hearts every whimper, tummy aches, uneasy and her high fever. One night we were chatting then she asked us when is she going to school? she also followed "let's go home now I don't like here anymore mommy". It breaks our hearts to hear our youngest daughter saying those words. We couldn't imagine this was happening to our family, this trials makes us hold to Hope that Tamara will be well soon. Please help us pray for her fast recovery.
Thursday night the BMA (Bone Marrow Aspiration) result our sweet 4-year-old daughter Elise Tamara was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), cancer of blood and bone marrow. It’s the most common type of children’s cancer and usually gets worse quickly if not treated. It’s hard to see our bruised little Tamara in great pain and discomfort in her hospital bed. She became very weak that she also acquired pneumonia. Her increasing leukemia cells gives less room for healthy white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets, making her very prone to infection, bleeding and anemia.
To save her life, she needs to face two and a half (2 and 1/2) years of chemotherapy in one of the hospitals in Batangas. Our family is from Laguna, but we will be forced to find a new home in Batangas because it’s not healthy for Tamara to travel and be exposed with her weakened immune system.
Our daughter’s pain, medical expenses, and the big adjustments for our family takes a toll on us not only emotionally, physically, spiritually but also financially. We knock on your kind hearts and souls to support our daughter’s fight by helping us raise the fund needed for her chemotherapy! Your prayers and contribution to save her life will be appreciated beyond words.
"God already knows what we’re made of, but perhaps He wants us to learn what we’re made of. I think we would all agree that we learn more from our tough times than from our easy times. Sometimes bad things happen to good people. We don’t know the meaning of all things, but we know God loves His children! And because He loves us, He will never desert us." - JOHN BYTHEWAY
