Healing and Medical Funds for John Michael Rey C. Ceros for his (Chemotherapy and Operation)

It was started last May 10 2018, when he had a checkup in Maribojoc Community Hospital in Bohol due to severe pain in his shoulder and arms, so the Doctor requested to undergo chest x ray and result shown; (PulmonaryContusion vs. Hemothorax) is considered. The Doctor advice to consult a pediatric specialist in Tagbilaran City Bohol and while the Doctor checked him, he instructed for admission and undergo for ultrasound. The same day also, John Michael Rey had a high fever besides still complaining the pain in his body. The day after, ultrasound result came and they found out that he has fluid containing 360ml that needs an immediate operation to drain the fluid. And the operation was successfully done at St. Jude Hospital. Then, he undergoes again a lot of test and the Doctor requested to have a Chest Plain CT Scan and the result shown (soft tissue mass left, upper lube with adjacent inflammatory infiltrates and Minimal moderate pleural effusions.)

So, Doctor immediately recommended to refer in Cebu hospital with capability of pediatrics specialist with high technology as he needs medical attention.

On June 6 2018, he admitted in ChongHua Hospital in Cebu and he undergo another CT scan and the impression is: (Heterogeneously enhancing Nectotic mixed fat density mass in the Anterior Mediastinum

10.2 x 12.6 x 13.7 cm this maybe represent a Germ Cell Tumor such as Teratoma, suggest clinical correlation compressive Atelectasis in the left lung. Minimal amount of left pleural effusion. Presence of a slightly enlarges Mediastinal Lymph nodes. Whether these are due to reactive Lymph nodes or metastases is not differentiated.)

Accordingly, the Doctor advised us first to undergo his chemotherapy to condense the mass prior on his operation. Last June 7, 2018 the 1^st cycle of chemotherapy started with 5 sessions, after that he discharge dated June 12, 2018. In a week span, he undergoes complete blood test and most of the results drop and last June 20^th 2018, he admitted back to Hospital due to high fever resulting to flat zero count in his white blood cells. This coming June 28, 2018, is the schedule of his 2^nd cycle chemotherapy.

As a parent there is no painful feeling other than seeing your only child suffering. Countless hospital visits, lining up on government offices to ask for financial aid and loans. Our family has been working as hard as we can to give him the best care possible, but we have already burned through all of our life savings as the complications and necessary treatments like chemo and medicines.
