I was in England recently and whilst there I went on the hunt for Great Grandads grave.
Well we found it.
Unfortunately it has no headstone or plaque.
So I got in touch with Brighton / Hove city council and they advised that if I wanted to do anything with the grave site like put a plaque / stone on it, we would have to lease it at £250 for 25 years.
So I am trying to get funds to lease the site and put a plaque or stone upon it.
I would like to do this on 2 June 2016 as it will be the 114th anniversary of his death and he would of been 189 years old!
A little bit about my intriguing ancestor and how my dark skinned English Father come to be a farmer in New Zealand.

So why do we need $1000AUD
£250 is $500 AUD at the current exchange rate, this will cover the leasing of the plot for 25 years
$250 is the price for a plaque / stone
$250 is to cover the cost of placing the plaque / stone admin costs paper work etc and travel cost for a member of the family as unfortunately I will not be able to afford to travel back to England, Unless we can raise more.
Thank you for having a look.
