Hay for rare Greek ponies

We are raising money to feed the Skyros small horses at the Siva Project in Corfu, Greece.

Silva has done an awesome job of increasing the numbers of Skyrian ponies over the years and helping set up satellite herds around Greece and beyond, whilst also collaborating closely with breeders on the island of Skyros itself. It has created a new role for these little equines as riding ponies for small children and children with special needs.

But, the future of the project is in jeopardy. The founder, a remarkable woman who is almost 80, has now exhausted her personal fortune and with no natural grazing available, these little equines need your help.

All proceeds will go towards buying as much hay and feed as possible while it is available locally so that the ponies do not go hungry during this time of economic and political uncertainty. In doing so, we will also be injecting some much needed cash into Greece.
