Stephen Hawking, 76, the brilliant theoretical physicist who overcame a debilitating disease to publish wildly popular books probing the mysteries of the universe, has died. Sir Hawking suffered from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, and was confined to an electric wheelchair for much of his adult life. In his own words, a new star is in the heavens tonight. Hawking Memorial thanks Sir Hawking for his wisdom, advice and presenting us with The Theory of Everything.

What this fund is for?

Hawking Memorial Trust is coming up with a non-profit charitable trust in the loving memory of Sir Stephen William Hawking with the dedication to keep remembering him and his contributions to contributions to the fields of cosmology, general relativity and quantum gravity, especially in the context of black holes. We wish to promote his legacy to world by constructing a online memorial portal and community of writers, scientists, students and young children.

We wish to spend a minimum of $15k in setting up basic infrastructure and incorporation, $25k in initiative promotions and marketing and community building and $15k towards trust maintenance reserve.

These funds will help us setup the foundations of the trust to start carrying out trust activities, preserve and promote legacy of Sir Stephen William Hawking.
