Behind the scene as a cosmopolitan, many Hong Kong persons and families are living in poverty and being stripped off from a decent, stable and respectable life. Those shocking photo taken in the tiny subdivided units and scavengers of very aged elders are just an example of such miserable reality.

We know some of these neighborhood families. Their children suffer from developmental problems causing detrimental impact in school learning and social life. If not treat before critical remedial period (i.e. age 6), their learning and social capacity will be fixed within early developmental stage. It will end up them a lack of competence to live out the demand of normal life. Already in poverty, these parents are shocked to find HK has not enough governmental support. To parents, the cost of professional service is a burden added on a life filling already with burdens. In love, however, these parents decide to pay such big sum of money to buy them a hope. But it also means to exhaust the finance of these families every month. Thus, they stay often at home to avoid spending, lacking of many happy childhood and growth-promoting experience as we do.

Here is one of their stories. A lover of painting, Peter (fake name) was born in HK. Yet, Peter has no citizenship in China though his parents are. It ends up that Peter stays with his mother in HK while the father works in mainland China to support them. Due to different in economic standard, the mother and son live in poverty. Unfortunately, Peter was found with ADHD and Autism symptoms. The family can barely afford the cost of treatments with our support. However, it also means to exhaust away their money. So the mother and son stay often at home to avoid further expenditure. Peter, a talent painter, is stripped off from much opportunity for experiences which is crucial in normal growth.

The mind of children loves fantasy imagination, making possible from impossible. Many Disneyland cartoon characters are figures acting out such imagination, nurturing a sense of Willpower and Hope. Though life is harsh, we want these children to be nurtured with hope and their parents to enjoy at their children growth with strength. For this reason, we are planning to support 20 under-privilege families a FREE trip to HK Disneyland during Easter holiday. The targeted amount of this crowd funding is HKD 53,000. Below explains the details.

Ticket price (Adult X [40 parents + 10 volunteers -> SEN student needs extra care]) = HKD 589 X 50 = HKD 29,450

Ticket price (Kids X [20 Children]) = HKD 419 X 20 = HKD 8,380

Lunch set (70 persons) = HKD 160 X 18 = HKD 11,200

Miscellaneous = HKD 4000

=> Total Amount: HKD 53,030

Your donations are much appreciated and mean to these families a caring hand reaching down onto their life.

Blessing you in the name of Jesus Christ
