Campaign Story
Meet BraveHeart. The cat who wears his heart on his fur.
"Hello. I am BraveHeart, a 'streetcat' in Dubai. Hooman thinks I must've been someones pet as I'm very loving (I really like lap cuddles after she feeds me outside on my corner) and I've been neutered. I live in the basement car park of the Hooman's building looking for food and am a bit scrawny. Different peoples have told Hooman different things, they say I've been here 1-3 years although I look about 8 months old due to malnourishment and have a knobbly spine and hips. I have a 'heart' patch on my side and the Hooman says it reminds her of something called a My Little Pony. There are no other ferals in this building or the ones next to us, so I don't have a #squad to keep me company or #squadgoals to achieve. My meow for affection and smacking a strangers ankle for attention caught Hooman's eye (she had been trying to maintain distance as she didn't want to get attached she says). The Hooman is completing a internship and returns back to RSA at the beginning of March 2018 and I want to go with to a forever home, and experience this grass stuff and trees that she keeps nattering on about. Please help fund me a home and share my story so it's heard - BraveHeart"
I can offer him a forever home in South Africa , I require financial help with the funds to buy his ticket and pay the vet bills to clear him to fly. Thankfully from the UAE to RSA there is no quarantine for cats.
Why not get him a home in Dubai? The organisations here are bursting at the seams with unwanted pets. The reality is you are never granted citizenship in the UAE and at some point every expat has to return home, at this point people don't have the cash to pay for the process to get their pets home and thus they are given to friends where the pet relocation responsibility is transferred to someone else or onto the street. This is where the proverbial buck stops. I can offer BraveHeart a forever home in my home. I just need financial help to get him there.
Goal 1: Raise $100 to get BraveHeart to the vet to be checked for a microchip (he is neutered already, adding to the someones pet theory). If not chipped, have him chipped (it's a prerequisite for a traveling animal) and have him innocculated, dewormed and deflea'd.
Goal 2: Raise the other $1 614 / EUR 1 350 / £1 200 / AED 5 931 for his flying crate, plane ticket and clearance certificate, a week of cattery stay and the vet in South Africa to clear him post travel. I will be transparent on the costs and post the bills.
Donation maths/conversions:
$10 = R123
EUR10 = R148
£10 = R166
AED30 = R101
If you can't afford to help please share BraveHeart's story and a prayer that I can raise enough to take him to his forever home.

20/12/2017: Raised the funds needed to achieve GOAL 1
27/12/2017: VET DAY!
Things we can confirm, he is a bit scrawny and
weighs in at
4.1kg and is put at 3 years old (looks
like Reception was correct). The 'kitten' like body is due to not always having
all the nourishment he needed.
