Welcome to Havat Iyar, a small organic permaculture farm in Israel!
In honor of Tu B’shvat, we invite you to join us in the planting of the new herbal section of our farm. Our goal is to raise 25,000 shekel for a simple greenhouse structure, additional irrigation lines, 2 truckloads of compost, and herbal seedlings. These improvements will enable us to add healing teas to our already successful line of vegetables, super greens, and medicinal herbs.
We made aliyah in 2012 to fulfill our dream as pioneers and reconnect with our Jewish agricultural roots. We live in Moshav Bnei Re’em with our 3 beautiful children. Eight months ago, our dream became a reality, as we decided to rent more land and expand our family garden into a family farm.
We use organic and ecological techniques in order to improve soil health, nutritional value, and the quality of our produce. This means that we do not use any synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. We treat the Earth how we would like to be treated.
Our goal is to revitalize a lost connection with the land through a healthy lifestyle and spiritual growth.
Havat Iyar is not only a place of growing greens and herbs, it is a place of healing and education. In the future, we plan to host volunteers, groups, and workshops for people to come and enrich their inner connection.
By donating over 54 shekel, You are entered into a raffle to WIN HIGH-QUALITY ART by AVIGAIL SAPIR. You can win a size Large “Shivat Haminim” ( 7 species of Israel) printed on canvas or archival paper. (valued at 475 shekel). We will ship it to you for FREE wherever you are in the world!

Tu b 'Shvat is our uncle Davids yortzeit, David Zelig ben Hillel, z"l. He was an incredible man. The money we raise in honor of this day will be in his memory.
