Hi all, I have set this page up for my niece Hattie, as some of you already know she was born with Joubert's Syndrome for those of you who don't know I will just give you an insight into what Joubert's syndrome is:Joubert syndrome (JS) is a disorder defined by three primary findings:1) A specific abnormality in the part of the brain characterized by underdevelopment of the cerebellar vermis and additional brain stem differences giving the appearance of the molar tooth sign (MTS) 2) Hypotonia (low muscle tone) 3) Developmental delays/intellectual disabilities of varying degrees. My niece Hattie is 14 months old, she is registered blind, and has many of the issues associated with JS but she is the most beautiful inspirational little girl. My sister and partner have being through an incredible journey already and have had some of the worst luck recently, being broken into and having their car taken with Hattie's brand new adapted car seat in it, so we want to help them out a little. They want to send Hattie to a place called The BrainWave Clinic: where Hattie will have a two Day assessment, this will take place on October 22nd/23rd.During this visit, Hattie will be assessed by a team of therapists, who design a daily Exercise Programme which is specifically suited to Hattie. This Programme will be fully explained and demonstrated to Julie and Mike to ensure they learn how to carry out the exercises properly, in what order and for how long to ensure they have full understanding of how to help Hattie develop. Reassessment visits take place every four-six months for new Programmes to be designed to allow for further progress. The cost of this two day visit is £600 so what we would like to do is help them towards the cost. Carl is taking part in Nottingham Men’s Health Survival of the Fittest on October 11th which I would love for people to sponsor him please - he has started some serious training and adjusted his diet after not doing anything for a while so this is quite a big thing for Carl to take part in. So if you could dig deep guys and pledge a little donation to help Carl raise the money required to send this special little girl for her trip to The BrainWave Clinic. We would highly appreciate your help and supports guys. Thank you.   xxxx
