Samara Regional Charity Public Fund Shelter for Stray Dogs "Hati" was established in February 2012. to carry out activities to save the lives of stray animals and regulate their numbers in a humane way.
Thanks to the efforts of a friendly, close-knit team of like-minded people and a full-time dog handler, even the most timid and not socialized animals, after the necessary rehabilitation, find their master. Pets stay in a shelter is not limited to any period - they are kept there until they find a family.
During the work of the Foundation, more than 1,200 dogs and cats acquired the house and owner, about 800 animals were sterilized. Currently, 128 pets live in the shelter; additional places have been created for keeping animals received through the shelter's return sterilization program
As a result of the work of the shelter, people make faithful and devoted friends, and pets find their happiness - the house and the owner. Until recently, living creatures on the verge of death give man loyalty and boundless love! We are proud of the talents of our students and annually arrange meetings of graduates of the shelter and their new owners. People get the opportunity to talk about the achievements of their pets, get free advice from dog handlers and veterinarians.
The scope of the Fund is not limited to the rescue, maintenance and search of a house for dogs and cats found on the street. The program “Big Big Hearts” developed and actively implemented by the shelter is aimed at fostering a good and responsible attitude towards animals among the young generation. As part of the program, the shelter is visited by groups of children, school students, and students. The children actively participate in the activities of the shelter, communicate with animals, learn their stories and habits.
The shelter is not funded by the state and is supported by donations from caring people. Ongoing activities require high costs for the purchase of animal feed, veterinary drugs, payment for veterinary services, salaries, repayment of utility bills, construction of additional and repair of existing premises for animals and much more.
Only with the active participation of caring people is it possible to continue the effective work of the foundation and the successful implementation of programs to develop animal welfare activities!
