£4,450.00raised of £5,000.00 goal goal
We're organising the donation and delivery of 'Bags of Hope' to the refugee children arriving daily in Greece, and are asking you to help.
Syria’s civil war is the worst humanitarian disaster of our time. The suffering has become so great that now entire families - babies, young women, pregnant women, the elderly - are making the journey. According to the UN, the number of innocent civilians displaced so far is more than 11 million and more than half of all Syrian refugees are under the age of 18.
We know that we do not have the expertise of humanitarian aid organisations, but we also know that we want to help. So we have decided to organise the donation and delivery of 'Bags of Hope' to be given to refugee children. This won't provide them with life essentials, but rather give them a small ray of happiness. Inside each backpack will be a warm outfit, gloves and wellies for winter, a toothbrush and toothpaste, a toy and a book.
If you would like to help, please donate money to help with the logistics and distribution of sending the bags over to Greece.
