My cat was diagnosed with high possibility of having Cauda Equina Syndrome that has been causing him to limp very badly when he tries to walk, he is only 6 months old. Cauda Equina Syndrome causes pressure to or damage to the nerves within the spinal canal in the junction area between the lumbar sacral vertebrae due to the narrowing of the spinal canal. Right now he stil doesn't have any idea what is happening to his lower part of the body because he can't feel it, but still tries to move around. If his condition worsen he might be paralysed for the rest of his life, so the vet said that it would be best to get him treated as soon as possible. But I'm just a student and the cost of the CT scan is $3000 and also other medical fees which are unknown yet, all in all which I cannot afford. I really hope that someone could help me out.
