Haruni Nursery is a children's preschool founded in March 2012, located in the heart of Arusha, Tanzania; the aim of the nursery from its inception has been to support and teach indigent and orphaned children of the town. Started in an empty classroom made up of four orphans, Haruni now teaches over 80 pupils ranging from the ages of 2-8. The mission of the school is to lead children who live with the most scarce resources, focusing on their education, health and well-being. While Haruni nursery has given many poverty-stricken children an opportunity to pre-school education, they lack the proper infrastructure for a safe and efficient environment, due to the poor financial state. Classrooms lack blackboards, tables and are in dire need of renovation due to the hazardous state of the ceilings, floors and windows. Furthermore, the lack of money within the nursery has paralysed the ability to provide essential dietary requirements (including water) for the children, which is undoubtedly a crucial component for a healthy lifestyle. Hence, we are asking for your support and kindness to help these children who are in desperate need of your financial support.
Here's where the funds are going:
*A rooftop for an outdoor-kitchen to cook the children's porridge/lunch: approx €1000
*Blackboards, tables, chairs & stationary items: approx €800
*Improving classroom infrastructure (ceiling, flooring & windows): approx €1200
In total, our aim is €3000
Any bit of support would make a HUGE difference!
Thank you so much for the support and and for spreading the word!
