Recently, I had to rush my cat, Harley, to the vet for emergency, life-saving treatment. He was lethargic, refusing to eat or drink, and in a noticeably large amount of pain. Turns out that his bladder was blocked due to crystal build-up, his potassium levels were through the roof, his urine was acidic, and his kidneys were failing.
Right from the start, the vet told me that he may not make it. He was a very sick cat. But, three days have passed and I was finally able to take him home.
While I'm overjoyed to have my Harley safe and back at home with me, I am faced with a big problem; his very large vet bill. He also needs expensive changes to his diet to prevent his bladder from getting blocked again.
I have to pay $2000 for the treatment that saved Harley's life and that's money that I can't afford. I know I'm going to have to pay a lot of this money out of my own pocket, but I would be extremely grateful for any amount of help, no matter how small.
