Greg Ozarowski-Haribol Chile – Please to help us buy some good quality musical instruments to improve the musical part of our relaxation program

Hello everyone, our names are Anya Ozarowska and Greg Ozarowski. We are a Polish married couple who live in Santiago de Chile. We have created this fundraiser to help us buy some good quality musical instruments: a keyboard and a harmonium, which will help us tremendously in our service to the community of Santiago. The total amount of USD 1,200 is to buy both instruments with accessories (stand, bags, etc) in US or Canada and pay for shipping and customs.

Here is our story and a bit more about what we do...

In 1998, while still in Poland and getting ready for our wedding, we were introduced to a very easy and enjoyable meditation process. This process turned out to be incredibly effective, and it has tremendously improved our lives since then. It did not happen overnight, but with steady regular practice came inner balance and deep relaxation, as well as less anxiety, stress, and mood swings.

Later on, the circumstances of life and work took us around the world - first to England, then to the little island of Bermuda, and finally to Chile, where we have been living for almost 3 years. Through all this, not only have we never forgotten about our meditation practice, but at some point we ourselves became meditation and relaxation teachers. We very much enjoyed sharing our free deep peace relaxation classes with the community, both in the UK and in Bermuda, and when we landed in Santiago in January 2016, we immediately decided we wanted to do more of this community service here.

Here in Chile we could see the hardships people experience in their everyday lives. Many people suffer from depression, chronic stress, and anxiety. Long working hours (10-12 hours a day), low salaries, high prices, extremely stressful driving, high air pollution, allergies, highly processed food, and generally stressful day to day lives only make things worse. Because we could see this we decided to try and help people with our meditation and relaxation program.

Not knowing much Spanish, we started with music and yoga sound meditation in Forestal Park in Santiago, which we have continued up to now. On some days as many as 80 people attended these park meetings. Currently we have a small yoga and meditation studio in our apartment, where we give meditation, relaxation, and yoga classes a few times a week. We also cooperate with the local municipality (Municipalidad de Providencia), which allows us to teach meditation, relaxation, and yoga on their premises twice a week. Most of the classes are free or accept donations so we can always include all of those who could not afford to pay. At the moment we work very little for money and more to serve the community, and it makes us very happy to gradually be able to see the positive results in people's lives.

Our program or method works thus: The yoga sounds we use, which are known to deeply relax the mind and heart, are combined with synchronised breathing, guided relaxation, singing, exercise, natural movement, and improved diet. Practicing in this way can help with depression, sleeping problems, anxiety, as well as many physical pains and postural problems.

Why do we want to get a keyboard and harmonium? These two instruments will help us improve the musical part of the relaxation program. At the moment, there are only two of us playing music and guiding the relaxation at the same time (we play the guitar and drum), and a good quality lightweight keyboard can produce the sound of many instruments at the same time, can be easily transported, and requires only one person to make the music happen :) As for the harmonium, a good quality harmonium produces an amazing, deeply relaxing sound, which we can use to add to the experience.
