Back in October, I headed off to Australia to do a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). I had a truly amazing time developing my faith and meeting new people. But that was then, the next step for me now is the school of Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management (CARMs) also with YWAM.

This is a 9 month training program in Colorado Springs, America teaching me a variety of new skills, including business as missions, knife skills, effective personal ministry, front of house and restaurant management. Just to name a few! There will also be a placement after this, location: unknown and length: unknown. This will be prayed over and discussed when I'm in Colorado.

So to raise money, I've challenged myself along with 4 friends to take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. This is the same length as the National 3 Peaks, except without the driving between mountains! The 24-mile route takes on 3 of the highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales and involves 5,000ft of ascent, the challenge being to complete the trek in 12 hours (weather/our navigational skills permitting)

We did it!! In fact we did it in 10 hours 55! We didn't have any view from the first 2 peaks due to rain, low cloud and wind, however the view from our final peak was therefore even more rewarding! It was a great day full of laughs, smiles and

We have now completed our practise hike in the Chilterns. The weather was perfect for hiking, and we had a good time getting to know more about our team dynamics and what makes us tick! Also which food we should bring!! ie lots of chocolate!!
