Hannah’s HK Half Marathon

You've heard it here first! This February I will be attempting Hong Kong's Half Marathon!

I will be running in aid of the Chatteris Reachout Sumnmer Camps 2020. These camps provide under privileged students in Hong Kong with the opportunity to improve their English in a fun and engaging environment as well as cater for the development of skills needed in an increasingly globalised world. In Hong Kong 50% of all students do not achieve the English grades necessary to attend university, of which only 10% of less privileged students are accepted into university. Chatteris' Summer camps aim to reduce the barriers and bridge the gap between the inequality faced by underprivileged students.

Mindful of the current political environment in Hong Kong the opportunity to attend such a programme would be a huge positive contribution to a young persons well being and future. $2000 HKD (~£200) could provide 20 students with the opportunity to develop their confidence to communicate in English to attend the camp in summer 2020.
