Hello, my name is Hannah Thorne! I have recently been accepted to the International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ) on the turtle conservation program in Bali- Ubud over the Christmas break. I am very grateful for this amazing opportunity to meet new people, experience a new culture as well as help the environment.
Sea turtles play a vital role in maintaining a healthy marine ecosystem from grazing on sea grass to continue species diversity within a coral reef. Without the help of these peaceful creatures, other animals and their homes will be in jeopardy as well as a human food source that many around the world depend upon. While in Bali, on the island of Nusa Penida, I will be assisting in cleaning up the beaches, feeding the turtles as well as cleaning their tanks.
Although I am working hard to save money at my part-time job, I am looking for any help to assist in flight expenses to Bali. I appreciate any support you may be able to provide. Thank you very much!
