Hands on training in basics of Clinical Biotechnology

The Voyage Institute is a 501C3 Bioscience and Biotechnology Education Organization. What we offer educational support to the socially, economically and disadvantaged individuals, schools, communities, and organizations. In addition we offer courses, curriculum, seminars, informational presentations, in-house employee training and community outreach and more. Our curriculum has been designed for grades K-12, college, and adult, as well as vocational training to prepare students for further education in Bioscience and Biotechnology and/or entry into the workforce. We are particularly focused on providing these services to under-privileged, under-served, socially or economically disadvantaged individuals and schools. 

We firmly believe that education must be an important regional focus, for knowledge and a prerequisite for innovation and progress.

The project for which we request fund will make a difference in the lives of HIV affected / economically deprived young women by equipping themselves with financial, social awareness and powers, in order to lift themselves out of poverty, thereby reducing the spread of HIV/AIDS, and stop draining the financial, social and health systems. The duration of the project will take   45 days and we expect the young women to be trained in

1. Lab procedures, patient care, handling of specimens, how to draw blood, and the pros and cons of HIV/AIDS;
2. This will increase their earning power, and raise their standards of living;
3. The successful completion of the training, will enable them to make career positions as technicians in, Medical- lab, Clinical labs, Health care industry, Blood bank, Medical quality assurance technician all over the globe;
4. As a result, they will become financially self-reliant and stop draining the system, become self-sufficient for themselves and families
